On May 3, Canadian Slovak League Branch 23 of Welland, Ontario held a Spring Luncheon. 60 members came out for a wonderful afternoon of friendship and a delicious chicken meal. It has been several years since the Branch held a get-together in the spring, and it turned out to be a welcome interlude from the long cold winter that we had.
Everyone enjoyed a tasty meal of chicken, salads, buns and cake. The day was warm and sunny – a lovely day to venture out and meet with friends and acquaintances that were not seen since Christmas.
Kraska, Kiersten Atamanyk, who will be representing Branch 23 at Slovak Day this year in Milton in July and who will be attending multicultural events in Welland this summer, attended with her family. She is shown in the first picture of the gallery with her mother Kristine (on the right) and her grandmother Maria Dinga (on the left). Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a wonderful time.
