The Niagara Folk Arts Festival officially opened with its traditional youth parade through St. Catharines, with Slovaks well represented by youth in full costume.
Many people may think that going to a meeting would be boring. Wrong. Not when it is a Branch meeting of the Canadian Slovak League.
Members of three Branch 31 families were recipients of CSL Head Office Scholarships.
Although Slovakia is one of the smallest ethnic groups represented in the Festival, its Open House has become renown throughout the Niagara Peninsula over the years.
