The Royal Canadian Legion, Slovak Branch #129 – the only from among hundreds of  war veterans Legion branches across Canada with the Charter designation „Slovak Branch“ – is located on 801 Atlantic Avenue and remains the hub for Slovak activities. Its in a beautiful building with top-notch facilities, its banquet hall can seat 450 guests. This December, they are again serving Slovak Christmas delicacies. This institution was founded by WWI veterans of Slovak heritage and it remains famous throughout the city and surrounding area for its great atmosphere, food, as well as for many charitable contributions to all.
