Vancouver claims close to 6,000 inhabitants of Slovak origin. Popular events
In such beautiful city, there is little urge to organize or attend meetings. Slovaks just get together and celebrate, or go hiking and camping in the surrounding mountains rather informally, with groups of friends, or as an community-wide event.
Churches
Slovak Catholic Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church is in the suburb of New Westminster, at 472 East 8th Avenue. It is the center for not only the spiritual needs but also the social life of the Slovak community. Regular get-togethers and other social events take place in the hall beside the Church.
