Vancouver Slovak Community

VancouverVancouver claims close to 6,000 inhabitants of Slovak origin. The city is often at the top of surveys for the most beautiful or the best city to live on Earth.

You can find news and information about its Slovak community, including the upcoming events, on the website ‘Word from British Columbia’ at www.sk-bc.ca The website also presents an interesting magazine with the same title, which is published every three months since 2007.

Popular events
In such beautiful city, there is little urge to organize or attend meetings. Slovaks just get together and celebrate, or go hiking and camping in the surrounding mountains rather informally, with groups of friends, or as an community-wide event.
