Late November traditionally belongs to all Catherines, Kathys and Cathys, but also to all their friends and relatives who celebrate their Name Day. We cannot imagine the day of Saint Catherine without great fun and a party that is already 42 years without interruption organized by the Slovak Club in Calgary.
This year was no exception. Tickets are already sold out a month in advance because Katarínska party is the best entertainment in Slovak Calgary. Nobody wants to miss meeting with friends, congratulate all Catherines, enjoy a great dinner and then dance all evening, even couple hours after midnight. Before dinner there was a nice performance by the Slovak Folk Group Slnečnica, who sang and danced at a truly professional level. Two weeks later, they came to sing Christmas carols at a Slovak Mass in Calgary.
From Calgary we wish all Cathys and Catherines very pleasant holidays and a wonderful New Year in which all your wishes will be fulfilled.
