On December 5, 2010 the Slovak children and their families gathered for the St. Nicholas celebration at the St. Anthony Soccer Club Hall. Father Radoslav Lojan, His Excellency Milan Kollár, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic and his wife, Sonja Kollárová along with other members of the Slovak community were entertained by the performances of the Slovak School junior and senior children. The children also designed the stage decorations. The arrival of St. Nicholas was met with great excitement as each child waited to speak to him and receive a gift bag filled with special Christmas treats. A potluck supper followed the children's program and visit from St. Nicholas.Special thanks to the Slovak School teachers, Jana Babiakova and Jana Plesnikova, the Korbel Family (Miki, Nick and Paul), Katarina Koziakova and the Special Events and Youth Activities Committee of the of the Canadian Slovak League Branch 63 for organizing this memorable event.
